The men's 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1946 European Athletics Championships was held on August 25, 1946 in the Bislett Stadium in the Norwegian capital, Oslo .

France became European champions with Bernard Santona , Yves Cros , Robert Chef d'hôtel and Jacques Lunis . The season from Great Britain won the silver medal with the cast of Ronald Ede , Derek Pugh , Bernard Elliot and Bill Roberts . Bronze went to Sweden ( Folke Alnevik . Stig Lindgård, Sven-Erik Nolinge , Tore Sten).
