The women's javelin at the 1946 European Athletics Championships was held on August 24, 1946 in the Bislett Stadium in the Norwegian capital, Oslo .
In this competition there was a double victory for the throwers from the Soviet Union. European champion was Klawdija Majutschaja ahead of Lyudmila Anokina . Bronze went to Johanna Koning from the Netherlands .

European champion Klawdija Majutschaja improved the existing championship record twice:
- Qualification: Improvement by 32 centimeters to 45.90 m
- Finale: Improvement by a further 35 centimeters to 46.25 m
