Note on the times

At these European Championships, the times were officially given, as was customary in the past, in values rounded to tenths of a second. However, it is based on the electronic measurements, the exact hundredths of which are known and listed in the results lists of the sources. For the distances from the middle distance upwards and also in the 4 x 400 meter relay , the differences to the officially rounded values to tenths of a second do not often play the decisive role as on the sprint courses . Therefore, only the exact times are listed in the following summary of results.
