Ari Salin

Ari Salin ( Ari Juhani Salin; born January 20, 1947 in Lohja ) is a former Finnish hurdler and sprinter .

At the European Athletics Championships in 1969, he failed over 110 m hurdles in the preliminary run. In 1971 he was sixth over the 400 m hurdles at the European Championships in Helsinki and was eliminated in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.

At the 1972 Olympics, he was sixth in the 4-by-400-meter relay . He did not get beyond the first lap over 400 m hurdles .

He was Finnish champion over 110 m hurdles three times (1968, 1969, 1971) and four times over 400 m hurdles (1970-1972, 1974).

He is married to the sprinter Riitta Salin .
