qualification

The pentathlon eleventh of the European Championships in 1969 Marie Christine Debourse was two centimeters short of the final
Fifteen-year-old Ulrike Meyfarth (here in 2012) could not qualify for the finals here - she became Olympic champion in 1972 and 1984 , and European champion in 1982

August 11, 11:00 a.m.

33 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification height for the direct entry into the final was 1.73 m. This height was crossed by 27 athletes (highlighted in light blue), who competed in the final on the following day. This number was clearly too high in view of the timing of the final, the qualification mark should have been set a little higher.

For all participants who reached the final, the qualification groups are given and listed here, the group is missing for the other high jumpers.
