The women's high jump at the 1950 European Athletics Championships was held on August 26, 1950 in the Heysel Stadium in the Belgian capital, Brussels .
There was a double British victory in this competition. Sheila Alexander became European champion . She won before the Olympic runner-up in 1936 - then under her name Dorothy Odam - and in 1948 Dorothy Tyler . Bronze went to Galina Ganeker from the Soviet Union.
