The high jump women in the 2010 European Athletics Championships was born on 30 July and 1 August 2010 at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys the city of Barcelona held.

European champion was the clear favorite two-time world champion in 2007 / 2009 and Olympic silver medalist from 2008 Blanka Vlasic of Croatia. Second place went to Emma Green from Sweden . Bronze went to the German vice world champion from 2009 Ariane Friedrich .

26 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification height for direct entry into the final was 1.92 m. Exactly twelve athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). So the final field was not increased any further and the qualified jumpers entered the final two days later.

Blanka Vlašić became European champion and set both Tia Hellebauts European championship record from 2006 and the European season best. Second placed Emma Green improved her personal record by three centimeters and needed one less attempt for her height of 2.01 m than Ariane Friedrich, who also won the bronze medal with 2.01 m. Defending champion Tia Hellebaut achieved a personal best of the season as fifth behind Swetlana Schkolina.
