Svetlana Wladimirowna Schkolina ( Russian Светлана Владимировна Школина , English transcription Svetlana Vladimirovna Shkolina ; born March 9, 1986 in Jarzewo ) is a Russian high jumper .

Schkolina won the silver medal in the high jump at the 2003 World Youth Championships in Sherbrooke and at the 2004 Junior World Championships in Grosseto. In 2005 she became Junior European Champion in Kaunas.
Active
In the adult field, she reached a grand final at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. There she took fourteenth place. In 2009 she was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Turin and initially sixth at the World Championships in Berlin . Due to the disqualification of Chicherova , she subsequently moved to fifth place in 2018.
Despite constant performance, Schkolina did not win medals in international competitions in the following years. At the Indoor World Championships 2010 , the European Championships 2010 and the Indoor European Championships 2011 , she came fourth every time. At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu she was fifth. In return, she won the high jump with music in Arnstadt and the international high jump meeting in Eberstadt . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she won the bronze medal with a height of 2.03 meters. At the same level, she became world champion in Moscow a year later . At the 2015 World Athletics Championships , she was unable to defend her title because of a torn Achilles tendon.
On the basis of the McLaren Report , Schkolina was banned by the International Court of Justice for doping in 2019 . The suspension lasts four years starting February 1, 2019. In addition, all results between July 16, 2012 and July 28, 2015 have been canceled.
