The women's pole vault at the 2010 European Athletics Championships was held on July 28th and 30th, 2010 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the city of Barcelona .

With silver and bronze, the German pole vaulters won two medals in this competition. The European champion was the world champion from 2003 , vice world champion from 2001 , World Cup third from 2007 , Olympic runner-up from 2004 , Olympic third from 2008 and European champion from 2002 Svetlana Feofanova . Silver went to Silke Spiegelburg . Lisa Ryzih took third place .

25 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification height for the direct entry into the final was 4.40 m. Six athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the six next-placed athletes who had jumped 4.35 m to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). For some participants it was already becoming apparent that they were qualified for the final with 4.35 m. They then decided not to continue the competition.

Although Yelena Issinbajewa, the dominant pole vaulter, did not take part in the European championships, thanks to Svetlana Feofanova , the European Championship title went to Russia after all, with the world record holder, defending champion, 2008 Olympic champion and 2007 world champion . The two Germans Silke Spiegelburg and Lisa Ryzih won the silver and bronze.
