The men's pole vault at the 2010 European Athletics Championships was held on July 29 and 31, 2010 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the city of Barcelona .

The result of the 2009 World Championships was repeated exactly on the first three places . The reigning world champion Renaud Lavillenie from France became European champion . He won ahead of the Ukrainian vice world champion Maksym Masuryk . Bronze went to the Polish Przemysław Czerwiński .

qualification

July 29, 2010, 10:15 am

29 participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification height for the direct entry into the final was 5.65 m. Eight athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the four next placed athletes to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). In the second attempt at the latest, a jump of 5.60 m had to be achieved for participation in the finals.
