The men's 10,000-meter run at the 2010 European Athletics Championships was held on July 27, 2010 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the city of Barcelona .

In this competition, the British long distance runners achieved a double victory. European champion was the European Championship runner-up over 5000 meters from 2006 Mohammed Farah , who won his second title here four days later on the 5000 meter course. Second place went to Christopher Thompson . The Italian Daniele Meucci came in third.

As is usual on the longest track distance, there was no preliminary round, all 26 participants started in a joint final.

After a slow start - passage time 5000 meters 14: 38.10 min - Mo Farah and Ayad Lamdassem were able to pull away. Shortly before the end, Farah sprinted away from the Spaniard. This was overtaken by Christopher Thompson and Daniele Meucci. Meucci and Thompson crossed the finish line at the same time, but Thompson was rated ahead of Meucci in the photo finish . So there was a British double victory. Of the 26 starters, 22 made it to the finish line.
