The men's 1500 meter race at the 2010 European Athletics Championships was held on July 28 and 30, 2010 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the city of Barcelona .

In this competition, the Spanish middle distance athletes won two medals, gold and bronze. Arturo Casado became European champion . He won ahead of the German Carsten Schlangen . Bronze went to Manuel Olmedo .

Arturo Casado was already at the head of the field two laps before the end and did not give up his lead in the final sprint. The German Carsten Schlangen, for whom the qualification to take part in the finals was already a success, surprisingly won silver ahead of the Spaniard Manuel Olmedo.
