Gmina Otyń ( German German Wartenberg ) is a town-and-country municipality in the powiat Nowosolski of the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 1540 inhabitants.

geography

The municipality covers 91.64 km² and is located in western Lower Silesia . The waters include Ochel and Oder , which form the eastern border of the municipality. This borders in the west on the city of Zielona Góra (Grünberg in Silesia) and in the south on the district town Nowa Sól (Neusalz on the Oder) .

history

On January 1st, 2018 Otyń was given city rights again and the municipality got its current status.
