The men's 1500-meter race at the 2012 European Athletics Championships was held on July 30th and 1st, 2012 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .
European champion was the Norwegian Henrik Ingebrigtsen . Silver went to the Frenchman Florian Carvalho . The Spaniard David Bustos came in third.

Preliminary round
June 30, 2012
The preliminary round was held in two runs. The first four athletes per run - highlighted in light blue - as well as the four fastest runners - highlighted in light green - qualified for the final. Since the first heat was a few seconds faster than the second, the athletes who reached the final over time were all recruited from this first race.
