The women's pole vault at the 2012 European Athletics Championships was held on June 28th and 30th, 2012 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .
The European champion was the Czech Jiřina Ptáčníková . The German vice world champion from 2011 Martina Strutz won the silver medal. The Greek Nikoleta Kyriakopoulou came in third place.

qualification

29 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The height for the direct entry into the final was 4.45 m. One athlete skipped this mark (highlighted in light blue). Many of the other athletes gave up their possibly outstanding attempts over 4.45 m when it was clear that 4.40 m would be enough for qualification. The eleven athletes placed next completed the final field (highlighted in light green). They all jumped four feet.
