Andrew Baddeley ( Andrew James "Andy" Baddeley ; born June 20, 1982 in Upton , Metropolitan Borough of Wirral ) is a British middle -distance runner who specializes in the 1,500-meter distance .

In 2005 he won silver at the Universiade . The following year he started as a representative of England at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , but fell and was therefore only twelfth. At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg he was sixth over 1500 m.

In 2007 he was ninth at the World Championships in Osaka and seventh at the World Athletics Finals , in 2008 eighth at the Olympic Games in Beijing , and in 2009 he reached the semi-finals at the World Championships in Berlin .

In 2010 he was sixth at the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona and at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi

Andrew Baddeley is trained by Andrew Hobdell and starts for Harrow AC.
