Christian Obrist
Christian Obrist (born November 20, 1980 in Brixen ) is an Italian athlete who specializes in the 1500 meter run .
Life
Obrist took part in the 1999 European Cross Country Championships for the Italian national team. At the 1500 meter final of the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 and in Gothenburg in 2006 , he reached the goal in seventh position. At the 2003 World Championships he made it to the semifinals. At the Golden Gala in Rome on July 13, 2007, he ran the eighth best time of the year with 3: 35.75 minutes. His greatest achievement was reaching the finals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he finally crossed the finish line in twelfth place. At the 2009 European Indoor ChampionshipsHe was sixth, at the World Championships in the same year he was eliminated in the preliminary run. In Barcelona at the 2010 European Championships , he finished seventh.
He achieved his personal best in September 2007 in Rieti, where he ran the distance in 3: 35.32 minutes. The South Tyrolean belongs to the sports group of the Carabinieri of Bologna . At a height of 1.86 m, his competition weight is 66 kg.
