The men's 10,000-meter run at the 2016 European Athletics Championships was held on July 8, 2016 in the Olympic Stadium in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam . There were only eleven participants at the start, which was certainly also related to the Olympic Games that were coming up in a few weeks' time.

The runners starting for Turkey achieved a double victory in this competition. European champion was Polat Kemboi Arıkan , who had won the 10,000 meter run at the 2012 European Championships and was third over 5000 meters there. The EM third from 2014 Ali Kaya came in second. Bronze went to the Spaniard Antonio Abadía .
