The 3,000-meter obstacle course for women at the European Athletics Championships 2016 was held on July 8th and 10th, 2016 in the Olympic Stadium in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam .

The European champion was the German World Cup third in 2015 and the European championship third in 2012 Gesa Felicitas Krause . She won ahead of Luiza Gega from Albania . Bronze went to the Turkish woman Özlem Kaya .
