The heptathlon for women in the 2016 European Athletics Championships was launched on 8 and 9 July 2016 in the Olympic Stadium of the Dutch capital Amsterdam discharged.

European champion was Anouk Vetter from the Netherlands . Second place went to the French European Champion of 2012 and 2014, Antoinette Nana Djimou Ida . The Austrian Ivona Dadic won the bronze medal.

The rating was based on the 1985 point table, which is still valid today.
