The Sørsteinen ( Norwegian for Südstein ) is a 2580 m high nunatak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises south of the stone garden at the southeast end of Fimbulheimen .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1968.
