The men's 800-meter run at the 2016 European Athletics Championships was held from July 7th to 10th, 2016 in the Olympic Stadium in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam .

In this competition, the Polish middle-distance runners achieved a double victory. The defending champion and vice world champion of 2015 Adam Kszczot became European champion . Silver went to the 2010 winner Marcin Lewandowski . The Briton Elliot Giles won the bronze medal.
