The women's triple jump at the European Athletics Championships 2016 was held on July 8th and 10th, 2016 in the Olympic Stadium in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam .

European champion was the Portuguese vice European champion in 2012 Patrícia Mamona . The 2015 vice world champion Hanna Knjasjewa-Minenko from Israel won the silver medal. Third place went to the Greek Paraskevi Papachristou .

The existing EM record was not set at these European championships and was not improved. There were no jumps of more than fifteen meters.

qualification

July 8, 2016, 1:10 p.m.

22 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification distance for direct entry into the final was 14.00 m. Six athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the six next-placed athletes to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). In the end, 13.80 m had to be achieved in a second best attempt of 13.62 m for the final.

Patricia Sarrapio did not reach the final as tenth in qualifying group A with 13.46 m
