Ana Šimić (born May 5, 1990 in Gradačac , SR Bosnia and Herzegovina , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian high jumper .

Athletic career

At the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona and the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris, she was eliminated in the qualification. At the U23 European Championships in Ostrava , she finished seventh with 1.90 m. In 2012 she did not get past the first round at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul , the European Championships in Helsinki and the Olympic Games in London . The following year she failed in the preliminary round of the 2013 European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg. A victory at the Mediterranean Games was followed by another preliminary round at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow . In 2014 she was eliminated in qualification at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot . She won bronze at the European Championships in Zurich and came third at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech .

At the 2015 World Cup in Beijing, she was ninth. In 2016 she failed both at the European Championships in Amsterdam and at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the qualifying round. In 2017, she qualified for the European Indoor Athletics Championships , where she finished seventh in the final with a skipped 1.89 m.
