Austin Madaisky (born January 30, 1992 in Surrey , British Columbia , Canada ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who plays on the position of defender .

Career

Austin Madaisky began his professional career in the 2008-09 season in the Western Hockey League with the Calgary Hitmen .

In January 2010 he switched to the Kamloops Blazers , for which he was on the ice until 2012. In May 2012, he received an NHL entry-level contract from the Columbus Blue Jackets , who had selected him in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft . The Jackets used him from the 2012/13 season both with the Evansville Icemen from the ECHL and the Springfield Falcons from the AHL until 2015.

Austin started the 2015/16 season with the new Blue Jackets farm team , the Lake Erie Monsters , before moving to the Straubing Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League in November 2015 . After a convincing performance, the Tigers extended their contract with the German-Canadian for another season.

In February 2018, Madaisky moved to Leksands IF from Svenska Hockeyligan at her own request . In July 2018 he returned to the DEL when he signed a contract with the Kölner Haien . In May 2019 he signed a two-year contract with the DEL team Iserlohn Roosters , which was suspended indefinitely in July 2019 at the player's request.
