Milada Karbanová

Milada Karbanová (married Matoušová ; born March 27, 1948 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a former Czechoslovak high jumper .

In 1971 she won the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sofia and was seventh at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she came in 22nd place. A bronze medal at the Indoor European Championships in 1973 in Rotterdam was followed by silver at the Indoor European Championships in Gothenburg and at the European Championships in Rome in 1974 .

In 1976 she won bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Munich and finished 19th at the Olympic Games in Montreal , and in 1978 she was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Milan .

She was Czechoslovakian champion outdoors (1970, 1973, 1977, 1978) and four times indoors (1972, 1974, 1977, 1978). In 1974 she became the Soviet indoor champion.
