Edgar Itt
Edgar Itt (born June 8, 1967 in Gedern ) is a former German athlete and Olympic medalist who was a successful 400-meter runner and 400-meter hurdler in the 1980s and 1990s . His most important achievement is the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 in the 4 x 400 meter relay race .
Edgar Itt started like Harald Schmid for TV Gelnhausen . In his last three years as an active athlete , he was trained by Harald Schmid . In his active days he was 1.86 m tall and weighed 75 kg.
Edgar Itt grew up in Ortenberg near Gedern . He never met his African father. He graduated from high school in Nidda . He studied at the University of Frankfurt am Main Business Administration and holds a degree in business administration. From 1998 to 2000 he headed the sponsorship, sports and music marketing department of a company. Since 2000 he has been a motivational trainer for executives and company employees in Frankfurt am Main . In 2012 he was the mental trainer of the German athletes at the Olympic Games in London. He has been married to the musician and actress Ariane Roth since December 2013 .

His personal best over the 400 meter hurdles is 48.48 seconds, which he achieved in Erfurt in 1994. So far (as of spring 2010) only one German runner, Harald Schmid, was faster.
