Ulrike Hinrichs

Ulrike Hinrichs (born February 8, 1969 in Oldenburg ) is a German journalist , press officer and association official . Hinrichs has been the managing director of the Federal Association of German Equity Holdings (BVK) since 2011 .

biography

Hinrichs studied German , chemistry and social sciences in Göttingen and Vienna . After completing her studies, she volunteered at SWR and worked, among other things, for the political magazine " Report ". In 2000 she moved to ZDF in Mainz and then to the Berlin ZDF capital studio, where she worked for “ Kennzeichen D ” and “ Frontal21 ”. There she was responsible, among other things, for social policy.

With the change of government in 2005, Hinrichs took over the management of press and public relations work at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection . Hinrichs held this position until January 31, 2009.

In 2009, Hinrichs switched to Phoenix , the events and documentation channel of ARD and ZDF, as editor for special projects in Berlin .

In 2010, Hinrichs moved to the Foreign Office as the office manager of State Minister Cornelia Pieper .

Since May 1, 2011, Hinrichs has been the managing director of the Association of German Equity Holdings (BVK) . In 2012 she was appointed to the advisory board of the Association of German Guarantee Banks (VDB) in this role . The BVK also appointed Hinrichs to the board in May 2014 after an ordinary general meeting. In this function, Hinrichs has been a member of the Young Digital Economy Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy since August 2020 .

Together with Christian Clasen, Hinrichs founded the communications consultancy Die Kuppel.GmbH in November 2016 . The company specializes in u. a. specialized in digital formats.

Journalistic sideline activity

In March 2005, her book On the Back of Patients was published , which deals with the structural weaknesses of the German health care system. With contributions from the former health minister Horst Seehofer and government advisor Karl Lauterbach (SPD-MdB since 2005), among others, the author examines the structures of the health system that she describes as opaque in her book.

Starting in November 2013, Hinrichs wrote a blog on economic and cultural topics for the now closed Huffington Post Germany .

In 2017 Hinrichs founded the online talk show Schlossplatz Berlin. Where politics meets economy . The program is broadcast live on Facebook five times a year on Focus Online . Ulrike Hinrichs has also been promoted to the Focus Online group of experts for political issues.
