Carsten Köhrbrück (born June 26, 1967 in Berlin ) is a former German athlete who - starting for the Federal Republic of Germany - won the silver medal at the 1990 European Championships with the 4 x 400 meter relay of the Federal Republic (3:00, 64 min: Klaus Just , Edgar Itt , Carsten Köhrbrück, Norbert Dobeleit ). His hand-timed time on this run was 45.1 s. In the 400-meter hurdles of these European Championships he was sixth (48.95 s). He was also a participant in the World Championships in Tokyo / Japan in 1991 (out in the preliminary run in 50.88 s) and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona / Spain, where he was eliminated in the semifinals with 49.41 s. At the age of 18, he won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in 1985 (51.23 s).

With his time of 1: 01.06 min, which he ran on January 5, 1991 in Berlin over the rarely run distance of 500 meters in the hall, he still holds the best German indoor performance.

Carsten Köhrbrück started for the clubs OSC Berlin and LAC Halensee Berlin . In 1990 he became German champion on his special route. He took further podium places at German open-air championships in 1992 as second and in 1989 and 1991 when he was third. He was also successful in the hall. In 1989 and 1990 he was German indoor champion over 400 meters. In his playing days he was 1.84 m tall and weighed 71 kg.

After his active career, he was a coach in Berlin, where he trained nationally successful long sprinters and long hurdlers (including Florian Seitz / SCC Berlin, Maren Schulze / LG North Berlin, Sven Buggel / SCC Berlin, Robert Thier / SCC Berlin and George Petzold / SCC Berlin).
