The men's 200-meter run at the 1990 European Athletics Championships was held on August 29 and 30, 1990 in the Poljud Stadium in Split .

In this competition, two medals went to the British sprinters, gold and bronze. European champion was the third in 1987 World Cup John Regis . The Frenchman Jean-Charles Trouabal won the silver medal. Bronze went to the 100-meter - WM -third 1987 Linford Christie , who two days before his second EM had won -Titel over 100 meters and 1988 despite a positive pseudoephedrine -Befundes Olympic silver in the 100-meter dash had received.
