The women's 10 km walk at the 1998 European Athletics Championships was held on August 20, 1998 in the streets of the Hungarian capital, Budapest .

There was an Italian double victory in this competition. The reigning world champion and EM runner-up in 1994, Annarita Sidoti, became European champion . She won in front of the 1995 vice world champion Erica Alfridi . Bronze went to the Portuguese Susana Feitor .
