Nora Edletzberger

Nora Edletzberger (born Bulgarian Нора Иванова , Nora Iwanowa, English transcription Nora Ivanova, first marriage Güner ; born June 1, 1977 ) is a former Austrian sprinter of Bulgarian origin.

Career

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 , she was eliminated over 100 and 200 meters in the prelim. The following year, she won gold over 100 and bronze over 200 meters at the World Junior Athletics Championships . At the World Championships in Athens in 1997 , she reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters, and at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1998 she was fifth over 200 meters. In 1996 she became Bulgarian champion over 100 meters outdoors, in 1997 over 60 meters indoors.

She acquired Turkish citizenship through a marriage that was divorced in 2001 . In 2001 she won gold over 100 and 200 meters at the Mediterranean Games . At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2002 in Vienna, she was fourth over 200 meters.

In June 2006 she became an Austrian citizen. In 2007 she became Austrian national champion over 100 and 200 meters. Nora Edletzberger is 174 cm tall and her competition weight was 62 kg.
