Linda Ferga-Khodadin

Linda Ferga-Khodadin (born Ferga ; born December 24, 1976 in Paris ) is a French athlete who had her greatest successes in the 100 meter hurdles .

She started her career as a long jumper . In 1997 she was eleventh at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Paris and was eliminated from the qualification at the World Athletics Championships in Athens . The following year she won bronze in the long jump at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Valencia . At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest she was seventh in the long jump and eighth over 100 m hurdles.

From 1999 she concentrated on the hurdles and in the same year was fifth over 60 m hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi . In 2000 she won gold over 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Ghent and was seventh at the Olympic Games in Sydney . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , she was fourth with the French team.

In 2001, a sixth place in the 60 m hurdles at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon was followed by a seventh place at the World Championships in Edmonton . In 2002 she was subsequently awarded the gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna after the originally first-placed Glory Alozie was disqualified because the Nigerian Athletics Association had not yet given her permission to start in Spain.

After a semi-final at the European Championships in Munich in 2002 , she was fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 2003 . At the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , she was disqualified in the semifinals.

In 2004 she won bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest , but did not get beyond the preliminary run at the Olympic Games in Athens . At the 2005 World Championships she made it to the semi-finals, but did not reach the finish line there.

In 1997 she became French champion in the long jump, in 2005 over 100 m hurdles. In the hall she won the national title over 60 m hurdles in 1999 and 2001.

Linda Ferga-Khodadin is 1.68 m tall and weighs 60 kg. She was trained by Marc Froissard, Jacques Piasenta and Renaud Longuèvre. Since 2003 she has been married to the former long jumper Mohamed Khodadin.
