Susanna Elisabeth Kallur (born February 16, 1981 in Huntington ) is a former Swedish athlete . Her greatest success was winning the 2006 European Championships in the 100 meter hurdles . She also holds the world record in the 60-meter hurdles.

life and career

The hurdler is the daughter of ice hockey player Anders Kallur and the twin sister of Jenny Kallur .

In 2005, Kallur won gold in the 60 meter hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid . She was able to successfully defend this title two years later in Birmingham . At the World Indoor Championships in Moscow in 2006 , she won bronze over the 60 meter hurdles. In front of her home crowd, she won the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg in 12.59 seconds over 100 meter hurdles. For this she was honored by the listeners and viewers of the Swedish radio with the radio sport Jerringpris .

At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka , Kallur finished fourth in 12.51 seconds, just 0.05 seconds behind the winner Michelle Perry .

In February 2017, she announced the end of her career. Kallur had her last appearance at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2017 . There she made it to the finals and finished eighth.

Personal

Kallur lives and trains in Falun with her club Falu IK. At a height of 1.70 m, her competition weight is 61 kg. In June 2013 she became the mother of a daughter.
