Zofia Bielczyk

Zofia Bielczyk (born Filip ; born September 22, 1958 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sprinter and hurdler .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1977 in San Sebastián, she won silver over 60 m hurdles. The following year she was fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Milan in the same discipline and came fifth at the European Athletics Championships in Prague with the Polish team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1980 she won gold over 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen and was fourth over 60 m . At the Olympic Games in Moscow , she was eighth in the 100 m hurdles and took seventh place with the Polish quartet in the 4 x 100 meter relay. 1981 followed a gold medal over 50 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble .

In 1980 she became the Polish champion over 100 m and 200 m . In the hall she won three national titles over 60 m (1979-1981) and once over 60 m hurdles (1981).

Her husband Piotr Bielczyk was successful as a javelin thrower.
