The women's marathon at the 1982 European Athletics Championships took place on September 12, 1982 in Athens , Greece .

The Portuguese Rosa Mota won the race in 2:36:03 h. The Italian Laura Fogli was vice European champion ahead of the Norwegian Ingrid Kristiansen .
