Michel Clare
Michel Clare (born February 21, 1927 in Sceaux , † April 10, 2008 in Paris ) was a French middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance , and sports journalist .
In 1950 he was sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Brussels , and in 1951 he won silver at the Mediterranean Games .
In 1949 he became French champion. He set his personal best of 1: 51.4 minutes on May 21, 1950 in Paris .
From 1953 to 1992 he worked for L'Équipe . In 1991 he was awarded the Olympic Order .
