Edera Cordiale
Edera Cordiale (born Gentile ; born January 30, 1920 in Turin , † April 4, 1993 in Tortorici ) was an Italian discus thrower .
In 1948 she won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in London with 41.17 m (gold and bronze went to French women Micheline Ostermeyer with 41.92 m and Jacqueline Mazéas with 40.47 m). After their marriage followed the bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 . At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , she came in 14th place.
