The 200-meter race of women in the 2014 European Athletics Championships was from 13 to 15 August 2014 at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich held.
As two days earlier over 100 meters which was Dutchwoman Dafne Schippers European champion. Silver went to the Briton Jodie Williams . As in 2012 , the French Myriam Soumaré won the bronze medal. She had won silver over 100 meters two days earlier and was European champion over 200 meters in 2010 .

The preliminary round was carried out in five runs. The first four athletes per run - highlighted in light blue - as well as the four fastest runners - highlighted in light green - qualified for the semi-finals.

Dafne Schippers - as a double winner over 100 and 200 meters, the sprint queen of Zurich
The European champion of 2010 Myriam Soumare won as 2012 Bronze - two days earlier had silver 100 meters won
As with her fourth place over 100 meters , Mujinga Kambundji set a new record for Switzerland and came in fifth here
