The 200-meter run for women at the European Athletics Championships in 1954 was held on August 28 and 29, 1954 in the Neufeld Stadium in Bern .

In this competition there was a double victory for the sprinters from the USSR. The European champion was Marija Itkina ahead of the 100 meter European champion Irina Turowa . Bronze went to the Briton Shirley Hampton .
