The men's discus throw at the 1954 European Athletics Championships was held on August 26 and 28, 1954 in the Neufeld Stadium in Bern .

In this competition, the results of the European Championships in 1946 , the Olympic Games in 1948 and the European Championships in 1950 were repeated in the first two places . There was a double win for Italy. European champion was Adolfo Consolini ahead of Giuseppe Tosi . Bronze went to the Hungarian József Szécsényi.
