The women's pentathlon at the 1954 European Athletics Championships was held on August 26 and 27, 1954 in the Neufeld Stadium in Bern .

With silver and bronze there were two medals for the Federal Republic of Germany. World record holder Alexandra Tschudina from the Soviet Union became the European champion . She won ahead of Maria Sander . Bronze went to Maria Sturm .

For orientation and classification of the performances, the scores achieved in 1985 according to the current rating system are also listed for comparison. With regard to the placements, there would have been a shift afterwards:
the fifth-placed Sofja Burdulenko and the sixth-placed Maria Ilwicka would have had to swap places.

But these comparisons are only indicative, because the different standards of the time must apply as a basis.
