Jorun Askersrud-Tangen , born in Askersrud (born May 6, 1929 in Lunner , † October 12, 2012 in Lunner) was a Norwegian cross-country skier and athlete .

Career

Askersrud-Tangen, who started for the IL i BUL from Oslo , took 12th place over 10 km in cross-country skiing at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo. At the Olympic Summer Games in Helsinki in 1952 , she was eliminated in the run over 100 m with a time of 13 seconds. Also in the 80 m hurdles she was eliminated with a time of 12.2 seconds in the lead. Two years later, she achieved 15th place in the European Athletics Championships in Bern in the pentathlon and was eliminated in the 80m hurdles with a time of 11.9 seconds in the lead. At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , she came 17th in the pentathlon. In the same year she was second in the combined at the Norwegian speed skating championships. At Norwegian championships in athletics, she won eight times in three-way combat (1952, 1954–1960), nine times in pentathlon and in 80 m hurdles (1951, 1953–1960), four times in long jump (1951, 1954, 1957, 1958) , twice over 60 meters (1951, 1954), 100 meters (1950, 1951), 200 meters (1950, 1951) and 400 meters (1959, 1960) and once in the shot put (1959).
