The shot put women at the 2014 European Athletics Championships was on 15 and 17 August 2014 in the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich held.

The European champion was the German vice world champion from 2013 Christina Schwanitz . She won ahead of Russian Jewgenija Kolodko . Bronze went to the Hungarian Anita Márton .

Sixteen participants competed in one group for the qualifying round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 17.50 m. Five athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the seven next-placed athletes to twelve shot put women (highlighted in light green). So finally 16.66 m was enough for the final. Only four participants were eliminated.
