The shot put women at the 2002 European Athletics Championships was on 10 August 2002 at the Munich Olympic Stadium held.
In this competition, the Russian shot putters won two medals, gold and bronze. The European champion was the 1998 vice European champion Irina Korschanenko . She won ahead of the Ukrainian defending champion and third place in the 2001 World Cup, Wita Pavlysch . Bronze went to Svetlana Kriweljowa, who was third in the 1999 World Cup .
