The men's 20 km walk at the 2002 European Athletics Championships was held on August 18, 2002 in the streets of Munich .
With gold and bronze, the Spanish walkers won two medals in this competition. The European champion was the European Championship third in 1998 and the holder of the world record was Francisco Javier Fernández . He won ahead of the Russian Olympic third in 2000, Vladimir Andreyev . Bronze went to Juan Manuel Molina .
