Chiara Rosa (born January 28, 1983 in Camposampiero ) is an Italian athlete who reached the final in the shot put at several major international championships .

Athletic career

Rosa won the bronze medal at the World Youth Championships in 1999, and in 2002 she finished fourth at the World Junior Championships. In 2003 she was fourth in the U23 European Championships, in 2005 she finished third. In 2005 she also won her first Italian national championship title, up to and including 2011 she received the title every year.

At the 2006 European Championships she reached her first major international final and finished eighth, a year later she was also eighth at the 2007 World Championships . After she had finished fifth at the World Indoor Championships in 2008 , she also reached the finals at the 2008 Olympic Games and finished in 13th place. In 2009 she won the silver medal at the Universiade behind the Cuban Mailín Vargas . After Rosa had not reached a grand final in 2010 and 2011, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012 . In 2013 Rosa came fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and later received bronze because of the subsequent disqualification of Yevgenia Kolodko .
