Natalija Wiktorivna Semenowa , née Fokina , ( Ukrainian Наталія Вікторівна Фокіна-Семенова ; born July 7, 1982 in Horlivka , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian discus thrower and four-time Olympic participant.

Athletic career

The 2001 European Junior Champion won the 2003 Summer Universiade in Daegu with 63.11 meters; also in 2003 she won the U23 European Championships. While she was eliminated at the Olympic Games in 2004 with 58.28 meters in qualification, she reached the preliminary fight at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 and finished ninth with 58.44 meters. She was also in ninth place at the end of the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg . A year later, she reached the final at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and placed seventh with 61.17 meters. In 2008 she won her first Ukrainian championship title with 62.87 meters. At the Olympic Games in 2008 , she was eliminated with 60.18 meters as 14th of the qualification.

In 2011, she retired from qualifying at the World Championships in Daegu . In 2012 she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Helsinki with 62.91 m. She also qualified for her third Olympic Games in London , where she was eliminated in qualifying . In 2013 she could not overcome the qualifying round at the World Championships in Moscow once again, as was the case at the 2014 European Championships in Zurich . In 2015, she finished twelfth and last in the final of the World Championships in Beijing . In 2016, she finished sixth at the European Championships in Amsterdam . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , her fourth exit in qualification followed .
