Androniki Lada (born April 19, 1991 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot discus thrower .

Athletic career

Androniki Lada gained her first international experience at the 2009 Junior European Championships in Novi Sad , where she was eliminated in qualifying with a width of 43.92 m, as well as at the Junior World Championships in Moncton the following year with 41.98 m. In 2011 she did not reach the final at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava with a throw on 47.91 m. Two years later she finished sixth at the Mediterranean Games in Mersin with 52.02 m and was then eighth at the U23 European Championships in Tampere with a width of 52.57 m. In 2014 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time and was eliminated there with 49.78 m in qualification. Then she did not make it into the final at the European Championships in Zurich with 52.18 m.

In 2015 she reached eighth place at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju with 54.19 m and in 2017 she won the silver medal behind the Montenegrin Kristina Rakočević at the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) in Serravalle (San Marino) with 50.01 m . In 2018 she again took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and finished eighth with a width of 53.12 m. Then she was at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona with 50.46 m twelfth.

From 2016 to 2018 Lada was the Cypriot champion in the discus throw.
