Tom Bosworth (born January 17, 1990 in Pembury , Kent ) is a British walker and Olympian (2016).

Career

At the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi he was starting eleventh for England in the 20 km walk . In 2010 he was British champion over 20 km and 2011 over 10 km walking.

Over the 20 km walking he was twelfth at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich and 24th at the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing. He finished sixth at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

He was disqualified at the 2017 World Championships in London. In 2018 he won the silver medal in the 20 km walk at the Commonwealth Games in Goldcoast with a personal best of 1:19:38 hours. In the same year he finished seventh at the European Championships in Berlin .

From 2014 to 2018 he was British champion in 5000 m walking and from 2015 to 2018 British indoor champion in 5000 m walking.

In October 2015 , he came out as gay in an interview with the BBC .
